Clarice Daughtry Vick, 90, of Roanoke Rapids died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Liberty Commons in Weldon.

Mrs. Vick was a native of Northampton County, the daughter of the late Romie Thomas Daughtry and Pauline Gray Daughtry. She was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1941. Mrs. Vick was a long-time resident of Becker Manor in Roanoke Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly G. Vick, Sr.; her son, Kelly G. Vick, Jr.; her sister, Nanie Clark; and her brothers, Paul Daughtry, Ernest Daughtry, and Romie “Ike” Daughtry.

Mrs. Vick is survived by two grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Vick and his wife, Keri, of Houston, TX and Jason Allen Vick and his wife, Lori, of Townsend, DE; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Dot Robbins and her husband, Romie; her brother, Luther “Goose” Daughtry and his wife, Mary Lee; all of Roanoke Rapids; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Vick, of Houston, TX; her sister-in-law, Viola Daughtry, of Roanoke Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin and Rev. Dan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of her sister, Dot Robbins, at 614 Pine Dr., Roanoke Rapids.
